Remote Dispensing Station (RDS)

Immediate, Secure Point-of-Use Access to Cutting Tools and High-Use Supplies
  • Excellent choice for high value, fast moving items
  • Dispense cutting tools, welding supplies, and other MRO supplies
  • Single-item dispensing in helix/coil format
  • Up to 70 bins/SKUs, dispenses in under 4 seconds
  • Low investment cost with minimal maintenance
Make cutting tools, safety supplies, welding supplies, inserts, drills, abrasives and other MRO-related items available in a secure format, 24 hours a day with AutoCrib Remote Dispensing Station. Up to 70 bins dispense single items from a simple helix/coil system - a system with few moving parts, so maintenance (if any) is amazingly minimal.

RDS speaks 4 languages, and can locate items in other machines or cribs within the AutoCrib system. RDS can also force the use of regrinds.

Optional electronic tool lockers (AutoLockers) can be attached to the side of the machine to issue and return large, bulky items or durable items such as gages.

VendVerify ensures the issue of ONE, AND ONLY ONE, item per request

New laser "vend verification" system verifies that the item has been dispensed before decrementing inventory in that bin. This industry-leading system works like no other -- moving incrementally, to guarantee that RDS will dispense one - and only one - item every time. This eliminates the frustration of not receiving the desired item, and the inventory error of issuing two.

Access control, cost and usage reporting, plus purchasing and receiving system

RDS is controlled by AutoCrib Software (client/server or web-based AutoCrib.net). The system records the issue of each item, so usage is tracked by employee, job, department, shift, and budget.

When inventory runs low, the system automatically reorders from the supplier. The software features an Intelligent Dashboard with key metrics visible at a glance on one screen. Over 200 reports are pre-loaded.

How Remote Dispensing Station (RDS) works

1.  The user selects "Issue" from the 4-language keypad

2.  The user enters an employee number, PIN, and any overhead data on the keypad or optional touch screen.

3.  The user requests a particular item by selecting it from a list or typing in the item name or number. A digital photo can be viewed to help select the correct item.

4.  The system validates the information and dispenses the requested item.

5.  The item falls into a delivery bin and the "Vend Verify" system checks to make sure that the item did, in fact, fall into the bin. This insures your user receives the product they requested. The entire transaction occurs in less than 4 seconds.

6.  The system tracks the issue of each item by employee, job, department, shift, and budget.

7.  Once the transaction is complete, databases are updated locally or on the web site (if using AutoCrib.net). Supervisors can see who used what item(s) and when, as well as the inventory level of each item. This can be viewed from any internet connection in the world when using AutoCrib.net.

8.  When the reorder point is hit for an item, the system automatically reorders from the supplier.
