Both plans run on the same standard 15- and 30-gallon stainless steel units. The right choice depends on whether your barrier or buffer fluid needs to run above or below seal chamber pressure.

Unpressurized external buffer fluid — always below seal chamber pressure. Keeps the seal lubricated while preventing process fluid from reaching atmosphere.


Use When Your Process…

  • Would leak to atmosphere and must be minimized or contained
  • May solidify on contact with atmosphere
  • Requires additional heat removal from the inner seal
  • Cannot tolerate contamination from seal lubrication fluid

Pressurized external barrier fluid — always 1.4 bar / 20 PSI above seal chamber pressure. Clean fluid is forced across the seal faces, keeping process fluid out entirely.


Use When Your Process…

  • Is hot or contaminated with solids
  • Contains hazardous or toxic vapors
  • Cannot be adequately cooled by an internal flow inducer
  • Has no available pressurized air or nitrogen supply

ECO SAVE RECAPTURE SYSTEM

Today’s high pressure double seals are designed to allow leakage across the seal faces. 1.5 Gallons / Day is a very common leak rate. Preserve your valuable Barrier Fluid and eliminate waste with the Eco-Save Recapture System.
